1. When we were fifteen, you used to sneak me out your house
2. I thought I loved you, but I found out in a round about
3. Way, that you're family was too restrictive
4. My friends felt your book was wicked. I grew vindictive
5. I was mad at them for suggesting that you were different
6. I was mad at you for being different
7. Was "preference" racism in euphemism?
8. Or was tryna love you a stupid mission?
9. I went from contemplating playing Watch the Throne in the mountains
10. To often hating, feeling disgraced and then shouting
11. Nearly a decade later, my lines greyer, I’m recounting
12. Realizing that love is more about what you put in than you get out it
13. If our books started with the same Genisis chapter
14. Was our love more of a gamble than Dennis the Mennis' actor?
15. I learned the difference between passion and romance
16. I should've warmed up my heart, holding onto cold hands

5. Vodka tastes odd too early in the morning
6. Mourning doves perched on birch over morning glories
7. Glory to the lord if you fit into his story
8. Stories high above the city drinking, thinking that I'm sorry
