The day that I stop loving you I’ll smoke an Aging Room
And I’ll dance all night and howl at the moon
Then I’ll collapse in a heap, overcome by grief
Because my beating heart has left my chest for good
My prayer for the longest time is death would find me soon
And I know you pray the same you always do
I cannot say goodbye, but I live a lie
Can’t help hoping we’ll be buried side by side
I read a poem today and my thoughts which were a washcloth
Wrung out to raggedness had no room
For the solid building blocks of fact this poem was short and glorious
And it made oh it madе me cry
This poem it changes mе and that’s why I call it art
And hold this precious thing inside my pocket
My prayer for the longest time is death would find me soon
And I know you pray the same you always do
I cannot say goodbye, but I live a lie
Can’t help hoping we’ll be buried side by side
Sitting on your floor all my excuses used up for these uninvited visits to your kitchen
In my head just clicking while enjoying this sweet sipping
Words stolen from those transcripts of those memories
My prayer for the longest time is death would find me soon
And I know you pray the same you always do
I cannot say goodbye, but I live a lie
Can’t help hoping we’ll be buried side by side
I used to worry--am I satisfied
Will I find you in my pictures in the future
Now I don’t worry about anything but one
Girl all I really worry about is you
All I really worry about is you
All I really worry about is you
All I really worry about is you
My prayer for the longest time is death would find me soon
And I know you pray the same you always do
I cannot say goodbye, but I live a lie
Can’t help hoping we’ll be buried side by side
And I’ll dance all night and howl at the moon
Then I’ll collapse in a heap, overcome by grief
Because my beating heart has left my chest for good
My prayer for the longest time is death would find me soon
