[Verse 1]
I’m forced to see life through a blurry cracked window
And all I see is Gatsby getting splattered into death row
Materialism and lust becoming the American dream
The delicate impoverished just embalmed in the scheme
Lies fabricated till they split lives at the seams
Just when you thought somebody learned a lesson
Another one comes out with an evil confession
Rewinding the circle of hatred as if the cycle was sacred
The last bit of hope has faded and I don’t think I can take this
We’re taught to lay low instead of searching to know
How to grow and make friends from foes
I feel like we’re losing control, over our powerful minds
Not knowing how to dig through our intellectual mines
Can’t even converse without an expletive but its imperative
That I intersperse through this lyrical verse
A way out of the world, to overcome the worst
Because I don’t want to live to see the day
That the weak become meat for the corrupt to prey
This is why I pray we don’t stray from what God has to say
Factions and schisms disintegrate the world into nihilism
We’re trapped in a sepulchral mental prison
A condition resulting from an inability to listen
To the questions coming from the confused simple minded
Because they need an answer and just can’t seem to find it
As I bear fruit from the knowledge that I lay out in rhymes
I’m opening my mind’s eye because I don’t want to be blind
I spread a message of justice through my voice, the deathless song
Remembering Charlie and his plea for flowers for Algernon
To live is to suffer but life without cause is worthless
Find meaning in the pain and surviving gains a purpose
[Verse 2]
I'm back for the third time
I'm as smooth as a mine
I like to rhyme;
And shine like a dime
Yeah I went to Makkah
To perform Umrah
And like to eat fusca
I saw mad Muslim Heads
The hotel room had five beds
It was my fate to eat as many dates
There was huge gates
And long waits
But I was never late
For prayer except for fajr
Yeah son, I got mad blessings
And with salad, I like mad dressings!
Now I'm transgressing
Yo I like chicken curry
Just ask the jury
My name is murray
Actually it's not
I'm mad hot
Cause I'm from the south
I don't like to shout
But you can't stop my mouth
Now. a. lamb. out
[Verse3]
I'm surrounded by a system I dread
435 plus a hundred but barely any wisdom heads
Mendacious talks destroy precious clocks
Poor suffer looking at the pretentious with stocks
Life's getting tougher now with many conflicted
Life's getting buffered; no change, options often restricted
Education takes too long for some so they embrace darkness
Dedication is strong for the green but it will replace sharpness
My generation either only focused on passing exams
Or spending cash and then smashing grams
No idea about what they will do in the future
They fight and shout about life sitting in front of a computer
Where are the leaders that will show us the truth?
Instead we have breeders of hate corrupting the youth
They're frisking me because my skin's a certain texture
Others break laws but exonerated without a measure of nature
Everlasting war means that death is knocking at the door
Never uncovering the schemes that are hidden at the core
They ostracize and categorize the people as if they don't belong
I'd rather compromise so let me apologize for some of many wrongs
Sorry for the streets torn apart in Palestine
Rest in peace to the deceased in Columbine
Who will die next, you mother your brother or maybe your friend?
You can die any minute so find meaning in your life before you ascend
Sometimes I dream of a land where peace and equality are grand
Where justice is abound and not just for the upper crust
But I unfortunately must adjust because my hope is crushed
Because there really is no justice, it's just us
Before I depart, I look at your heart and trust
And I'm able to leave you with a confiding kiss
Before I enter eternally into a cyanide bliss
I’m forced to see life through a blurry cracked window
And all I see is Gatsby getting splattered into death row
Materialism and lust becoming the American dream
The delicate impoverished just embalmed in the scheme
