From the sky rains death!
The fallen litter the streets

The sun feels strange on my skin, a relief long desired
As if returning home

A landscape too utopian

I hear rustling from behind
Nothing seems visibly thеre, but it’s presence can be felt
A vision so vivid
A life I’ve never lived
Held captive by hallucinations
A hand is extended
The decision to accept is made before I can think
It smiles at me, through mangled teeth
A harborer of darkness
It decides to send me back
I regain awareness, yet something else does too
The shroud falls around me
