I'm exhausted need to recover
Don't need a thermometer
To take the temperature
Seasons change I can feel it in the weather
Woke up to a still small voice just a little bit louder than it was before
And there's no more tunnels to explore it's a ghost town board up the doors
Wash your hands leave it in the dust
Feel the madness turn to a hush
Always those thoughts of what we might give up
But we know what we'll lose if we don't say
Enough is enough -- I'm moving on
Future's bright yesterday is gone
Longing for what's to come not what was
Put some distance in between us
Let new memories create the space till I can't even remember this place
This I can be certain feeling like a morning person
Refreshing is the new day when I'm rising it's inspiring
So let's throw caution to the wind
And go down as the ones who didn't know any better
I'm on it -- Romanticizing about the future but not waiting on it
So go on take a picture -- Capture tomorrow in a retro filter
Give in and move on
Bitter bitter sweet comforting
Complete nothingness is under me
Push yourself to the window seat
Come see what we're discovering
Not a shadow not a ceiling not coming down soon
Got a picture perfect panoramic view
Whole bunch of us in similar shoes
What a wonderful day on a path not yet traveled
Took the scenic route back roads and gravel
Lots of life left to share
The sun don't always shine when it does it's clear
Today's a good day to get out of here
Put the city skyline in the rear view mirror
Disappeared into the backdrop disconnected from the chaos
Everything has been enhanced and at the same time less important
We removed ourselves until the universe muted
You don't do the past any justice if you don't live in the moment
Find yourself be yourself life is short but the day's been long
Free yourself right now is our only destination
Killing time to make it stand still hands suspended in the air
No other place I'd rather be than right here
Future nostalgia
Don't let the world change without ya
When the feeling surrounds ya
Give in and move on
Don't need a thermometer
To take the temperature
Seasons change I can feel it in the weather
