Over the past, um, year and a half, we've been struggling as a nation. Um. Everybody's had to stay in home and we're just finding stuff to busy ourselves with.
For example, this album. Um. Kinda started doing it for fun, and then as I got closer to Halloween, I was like... I'm really gonna put this out. I'm really gonna put the pedal to the medal.
Um. But it's, it's been really- it's been a really tough time. And I'm sure, y'know, a lot of you out there can agree.
But something that I started thinking about as we got closer to Halloween is...
Well- well, one of my favorite things as a kid was going out trick-or-treating in some dumb costume, or sometimes a really elaborate costume, but. Just going door to door... and even as I got older, I still liked it, because I could- I got to see these neighbors that I don't really talk to anymore. Even if I just said hi, dressed up as a ghost or some... something like that.
But I started thinking that... there are some parents out there who aren't going to let their little kids go out this year and trick-or-treat, which is really a part of their life. That's, like, one of the most memorable holidays, and that's, like, what you do on Halloween.
And I realize that... that might not happen, so. I wrote this song for... all the kids out there whose parents who might not let them out this year. Please enjoy.
