Valentine’s day, a day where love is fully present,
But that kind of love blows off like a cologne in its scent.
You show your love to someone today, but wouldn’t last tomorrow,
It’s like something you want, but you can only just borrow.
You see, love is active on the outside, but on the inside it’s sick,
You don’t express your love to someone in a correct manner - I may depict;
Saying “I love you” by speaking, that’s useless,
But saying “I love you” by heart, that’s priceless.
But I know someone who will love us until our lives come to an end,
He’s still on a mission, loving one another, the purpose that He was sent.
One man who was filled with true wisdom,
This is Jesus, living with love, fighting for freedom.
“Love your neighbors and your enemies,” is one thing He speaks of us,
Because when you follow His words, you will gain trust.
His heart wasn’t filled with hate, but true understanding,
A symbol of a true man, and didn’t even dare pretending.
See Jesus knew how to respect life, and gave life importance,
Because He gives what is best for us according to His plans;
Thus, like Apostle Paul, he also knew what love is in his letters,
Love doesn’t do negative things, but lasts forever.
Okay, you don’t believe me, that God’s love is everlasting,
But when you are talking about His crucifixion, it’s a story worth believing.
Soldiers are whipping Jesus and kept on saying: “Move it, will you? You’re too slow!”
Because He was walking the path of our sin, and nowhere to go.
The thickness of the cross is how thick our sins are,
But this doesn’t let our relationship with Him torn apart.
Jesus fell down twice, and knew our sins were too many,
The soldiers knew that He needed help, and they called any.
The moment he is about to be crucified and experience all the pain,
He let our lives feel His suffering, and didn’t let our lives be in vain.
When he had an “ouch” in this hand, and the cross was about to be lifted,
He finally overcame and cleansed our sins - now that’s what I call gifted.
This is where His love comes in. when he already experienced death,
Where his head was bowed down and there was no sign of breath,
It’s like evil won over the whole world, and Jesus’ mission failed,
Leaving everyone feeling hopeless, and no sign of recovery entailed.
But something started to change, and in an earthquake, it happened,
The heavens started to shine out and opened,
The cloth inside the tomb was flat and there was no body inside,
Jesus, risen from the dead, bringing His unfailing love and new life outside.
His resurrection proved that His love is truly to perfection,
He wiped the tears from eyes and didn’t let our sin be mentioned,
And let this be a lesson for all of us that He had fulfilled his promise,
Never living the life of darkness, but a life of calmness.
Be like Jesus, a true God and true person,
Live the life of prayer, and live the life of His love and protection.
