[Verse: twxg]
Look at the pattern that’s under my palm
Keeping it simple, they’ll never be donks
Just got my licence, not something to brag about
Third pedal dying, not something to muck about
We’re keeping it live, never will let it die
Even if the world nosedives
Nothing ever matters but to let it stay
Thinking bout a rev match, every day
From the days of Milwaukee to Hubertus
Listen to our point, it’s not bloody hubris
He’s more than a car, but a simple companion
Never will argue for power, dominion
Calling me crazy, “It’s just a machine!
Something to get you from point A to B!
A gift that spoiled kids get at 16!” but wait
[PreChorus: twxg]
With a blip of the gas, petrol just bristles to ash
Listen to that, how can’t you whistle at that
It’s petrol into noise, into power, filling my ears, every hour
Spark plug, fire it, how I admire it, look at him, listen to Arlo
[Hook: twxg]
Crackle and pop, like a semi automatic
Spittin like I’m Logic with a semi automatic
So overdone, like US automatics
Speaking of overdone, talk automatic
Not Arlo (yuh) not Geoff (yuh)
Never gonna take a damn key off
3rd pedal to the metal, manual is intelligence
Every downshift sounds of elegance
[Outro: ju1i4n]
To most people, a car has one purpose. It is a thing that moves. And it gets them from where they are, to where they need to cars to school, they drive cars to work, they stick it in D and off you go. But that’s not what a car is to me. I have a MINI, if you didn’t know, because I’ve made it quite apparent that I do. And lots of people would look at my decision of buying a MINI and think I’m a moron. It’s not very fast, it takes premium fuel, it has a very bumpy ride, it’s quite old, and the air conditioning on full blast reduces my power output by 25%. But I think if you’re thinking of my MINI like that you’re thinking of it all wrong. You are forgetting that this car is the most amazing thing IN THE WORLD! First of all, he has 3 pedals. Like a proper car. 6 gears that you can bang through without going past the speed limit. He has 163 horsepower going to the front wheels which in a car this light, does make him go like stink. The sense of speed is sensational, and he’s got a supercharger that makes a whiny noise past 3,000 rpm. On the right road, you’ll forget how bumpy the suspension is and how small the tires are because they glue you to the road and you can corner at ANY SPEED! The clutch feels perfect and the brakes are good at their job. If you let off the gas in about 4th gear at 3,000 rpm with the windows closed and the back seats down, you can hear the cracks and pops from the exhaust. His steering is extremely communicative and very accurate, you feel every part of the road and the car just darts about and goes wherever you point it. He’s not just a normal MINI, he’s the upgraded Cooper S model. That means he gets more power and torque, a 6-speed gearbox, and a middle dual-exit exhaust. And this is the FIRST new MINI created by BMW. It’s not the new ones that are massive, it still feels tiny and fun to drive and is still a MINI, while at the same time having heated seats and proper modern car features. He has the best sunroof in the world and a banging stereo for me tunes. It’s in my opinion, the best MINI to date. But in a less technical perspective, his name is Geoff. He’s 18 years old, and he is the sweetest little car you will ever meet. Every time you start him up you get this overwhelming feeling of happiness. You can sense that this little car is ready to race. He’s just so excited to be a car. He is also adorable. He’s so tiny inside a parking spot. Compared to your average crossover nowadays he’s absolutely TEENY! His small run-flat tyres make him exquisite in the corners but do result in a bumpy ride. I think it’s all a part of the experience though. He’s never not ready to go. He’s dependable, fun, loud, and he’s mine. He’s my little car. And I love him to bits
