6 years ago I had this big idea
I'd build a structure out of some machine re-geared
An awful lot of work went into what I'd dreamt
The structure stands on bewed and dusty tracked cement
I'd take machines I'd lay upon my fathers racks
This meant to most of them but some remained intact
And when the sky had upgraded from moon to sun
I'd try and hide my structure from my dad and mum

My father asked me where his welding goggles went
And why his overalls were always somehow wet
Like my usual self, id seem to not respond
I placed my hands around one of the sturdy shafts
Circle round it walking on the broken glass
I'd twist my hands around, thus turning around the room
But if I practice, I would turn the whole world too

I thought I turn the world
But it turned on me
I thought I turn the world
But it turned on me
Oh it turned on me
A shaft broke out and like a compass point
Came undone due to a badly fasten joint
It pierced itself into my fathers overalls
Picked me from my feet pinning me to the wall
The shed tore subsequently open wide
And the townsfolk laughed at what they saw inside but

I thought I'd turn the world
I thought I'd turn the world
