The book that i read was cirque du freak the vampire assistant In this book its about a boy name Darren shan getting tickets from his friend to go see the cirque du freak circus. When him and his friend arrived, they get to meet the circus people who looked like half mutants and half human. they meet this one tall man, a half human half monkey person, and a snake boy. Finally they met the main person who was a vampire. later on in the book Darren gets to be the vampire assistant.
In Chapter 2 Darren had stolen a special spider from the vampire Mr Crepsley. Mr crepsly had found out that darren and his friend had stolen it and came to retrieve it.
