I lived in Buffalo with Robert
Way back in 1993
I studied English Lit with Robert
And Robert educated me

While he worked in the study on his dissertation
I worked in the garden and tried to make things grow
He had a little dog and I fed it Ken-L-Ration
Sometimes we'd go dancing
Or drive up to Niagara and talk about the snow
There was always so much snow

I would do anything for Robert
He was, I thought, what I should be
I really thought that I was happy
But something changed in ‘93

It was a cold winter
